It is like a magical week here in North Carolina. Not only did the time change and the day light stuck around later, but the weather was absolutely amazing. Sun shining, no need for a jacket or long sleeves. It was the kind of weather that you have to get out in.

I survived the season I dreaded it, and honestly? I rocked it. And now it’s spring. SPRING! My heart bursts! My boy turns one, I’m planning a super fun (smaller than usual for me) party for him. The beach is calling for us, even Sophia has been begging for a beach trip. I snagged a great deal for us to head down to the beach this spring and I am excited to get my crew back to the ocean! I run my first 5k in 2 weeks with some friends, and I’m excited that this spring I can feel good about the choices I’m making to take care of myself.
It’s time for us to enjoy the outdoors between rainy days, and I am so excited! Parks and sunshine and fresh air. The perfect reward after this dreary (and long) winter.

Oh, spring. I miss spring. (It’s currently 14 F and snowing in Helsinki). I’m so jealous! I can’t wait for the weather to turn, so I can smell the ocean and spend more time outside. Spring always does feel like a new beginning, doesn’t it?
